Secondly, clean the the fuel guage in the tank. Good chance its varnished

Wow, good luck with whatever you are doing instead! yeah workmates can be childish (usually out of jealousy of your escape :)) ah well, least you haven't got long to go!
If I don't pass you on your commute we will both just have to get to the farmers more often :) stands to reason doesn't it :cheers:

I'm sure Dicky Ticker had an issue with the fuel gauge on his trumpet, there's a part on the underside that had broken, which meant the sensor wasn't working.

Do Andy's suggestion first, then maybe DT's next

They only issue with/or has been with my fuel gauge is number of miles to the tank,never being less than 200 and that is thrashing it. :D
Speedo sensor on the front wheel is an expensive item so be careful not to overtighten the front axle spindle when refitting the front wheel

Headlights are a piece of p1ss to do ,just get the relay and change the bulbs as has been recomended

I found out the hard way with the Daytona over the speedo sensor, that was broken when I bought it & cost me close on £160 :(
I've been putting some miles on her & a LOT of fettling, she is riding really well now. The bike is genuine & I think it has been sat outside for a while unloved. I have replaced all of the relays & spark plugs & cleared all of the cobwebs away. The alarm has been disconnected to stop battery drain & I'm going to give her a full service next week while I'm off. I've messed with the suspension & have got her handling quite nicely now. She still feels a little jittery at the front, but I think it's the way I ride (I'm changing my style to Touring instead of Sport lol). Misfire is also sorted. I remembered that my Daytona plug hole used to fill with water, so checked it & right enough it was. I've also got hold of & fitted a Triumph aftermarket exhaust for £40, she sounds really nice.
