I dont have a works do although i work for a multi national organistation that is as tight as a ducks chocolate tea towel holder. If we do have one, like last year, it was self funded and on a Tuesday!!

So am available any of the dates as well as for Santa stand ins, weddings and funerals :)

La Porchetta last year was £12.95 for 2 courses and a glass of Limoncello to finish with loads of choice.

This year - £19.95 for 3 courses with supplements for 2 dishes and not much choice at all!

Starter is Antipasto Natale (Specially selected Italian cured meats, baby mozzarella balls, mixed chargrilled vegetables, served with fresh stone baked bread)

Main courses only 2 pizzas or 2 pastas and then chicken or steak with a hefty supplement of £3 or £5.

Pud is either tiramisu or ice cream, so a bit dull and if you don't like creamy stuff then no other choices.

I'm struggling this year!

i think we may have to find a new venue for this years one based on those menu choices cos that seem pretty rubbish to me!

I'm starting to think that if we want a place to accommodate a largish group, with cheap food and a relaxed policy on table turning then somewhere like Byron's might suit us.

Byrons burgers and shakes rock. I vote for the golden arches.

I have another idea which is this place.... much more reasonably priced, lots of choice, still near Angel in Islinton.

My suggestion above.

I'm working most of the dates so wouldn't be able to show up until 8pm so I can always join later after the meal if needs be.

Last one to show up has to wear the Santa hat and have everyone sit on his knee while he gives out the presents.

I can't say what dates I can or can't do yet and I'm not that fussed about what type of food or where it's eaten.
Basically, I'm easy.
