I assume you won? If you'd lost, I'd have thought he'd let you go...

Yes getting your knee down is deemed "Illegal", as police can say you are damaging the queens highway..

That I honestly doubt and sounds like a typical urban myth IMHO.

Hehe,

Ceri JC et all:-

Like I said I was feeling a bit cheeky … and yes I did win!! .. he seemed game though, as when he saw me go for it, he nailed it too :) But I had got the run on him and the old pan was no match for me before I backed off!! :D

Thing is I did nothing illegal, just pulled away sharply, I got to the speed limit and kept it there … knowing he was in tow I did everything by the book from that point on … he followed me for a few miles (hoping to catch me out probably!) then pulled me … he gave me a talk down and checked my bike for legalities, I was squeaky mind, so after telling me that I will be a statistic soon blah blah blah (the usual) and what a terrible rider I was (I was taking care too as I knew he was in tow … good job he had never seen me when I was riding like a t1t!!!), he had noting on me so let me on my merry way!! :)

Like I said I am not surprised he pulled me, if anything I would have been a bit disappointed in him if he hadn’t!!! (it is his job to pull idiots over!) But I also knew that I was fully legal (Tax, insurance, tyres, exhaust etc etc) and hadn’t broken any road traffic laws either!! …

Needless to say I probably wouldn’t do it again mind!! :D

LoL, I may be a bit of a twit, but if you are going to play 'wind up the policeman' then you better make sure you are legit!! :D

Something ive noticed about Police riders - They all have those helmets that are full face, but can flick up to open face and more often than not, they ride with them up.

IIRC from my CBT, isn't it illegal to ride with your helmet like that? Not that I would ever point it out of course! :)
