You can get a PSU for next to nothing (but of course if you buy cheap it will die quicker) and they are very easy to change.

Apart from the fact that its generally a good idea to backup your stuff and PSU on the way out wont make you loose any data (unless it explodes and takes out everything but doubt that is going to happen :))
