Cool cool, if as the day goes on you are feeling comfortable enough, then see if you can get promoted to inters so we can all be together, we can set up an SV barricade!!!

ARGGGG I HAVE JUST GOT A FLAT TYRE.

Anyone know how I can fix a flat at 8.30 pm at night . Ebike breakdown is being pants - refusing to send someone out to fix it , its just a small hole in the middle of the front tyre , but the nails gone so its flat. Anyone know any people who will come fix it at this time of night - am in North London , Southgate area... :( :( :(

So I got home in the end in one piece, thank God. Those tyres are lethal when cold!

Always good to hear :) So, did you have fun?

thor 04-10-06 08:10 AM

The tyres put me off to be honest. Couldn't really build any confidence. That and the length of the lap meant that you didn't really get to practice as much as I did at rockingham.

And the corner after the pit straight is EVIL!!!

Yeah, ditch them Michelins Pilot Race 2s ASAP!! I used them a few years back and they are the most heat sensitive tyre I have ever ridden!!! Without warmers to start them off, and the low ambient temp we had yesterday, you had no hope :(

Still you kept it sunny side (as did all us SVs) so that’s all that matters. Get some diff tyres for next time, and keep those ones for a baking summers day!!! :)

I have some footage, I’ll have a look and see if there are any good bits and make a clip for all to view :)

Turn 1 (Copse) is a fast blind one ... it can be taken very hard and is exhilarating when done so :) … not to close to the curb mind as there are loads of ripples there taht will send the front all over!!!

thor 04-10-06 09:10 AM

Yeah, think about having those tyres on, and then doing 10 miles of 15mph crawling through road works on the M1, in the rain. It was like riding on ice.

Give me back my original dunlops. All is forgiven!

I had a fun day, good to see everyone [again]

I enjoyed Silverstone better this time, bike working better & me working a lot better too - I think Silverstone takes quite a lot of learnng. good fun doing the learning though :-)

glad everyone stayed right-way-up, I did a little grass-tracking on the last lap of the last session so it was obviously time to go home!

Same here! Had a great time - bike, as always was spot on! Much improved from the last trackday, but always many things to practice/work on.

I thought we were fairly lucky with the weather - only a couple of spots in ours sessions, but not really enough to ruin the session.

Glad everyone stayed upright and made it back ok - roll on next summer!
