what you tryin to say?

When I know I cant save it I bail. Either way Im going to have a broken bike. The better shape Im in the sooner I can fix it and ride.

When I go out robbing bikes, sometimes I do "ghost riders" off the end of this pier near me.
Has my leathers in tatters, but it looks deadly.

I've only dropped the bike once and it was a slow lowside on some diesel when the front wheel went. I hung onto the bike until it was obvious that it wasn't recoverable (I was hanging off the bars with my legs dragging along the ground next tot he bike then I let go). As has been said on here it's not a crash unti lsomething other than rubber hits the road.

this thread is scaring me!!

has anyone managed to ride for any length of time and not fall off?

I've had my sv since august and not fallen off - but the very thought of a bike accident terrifies me!!

If i really thought an accident was inevitable at some point i would get rid of the bike straight away.

Looks like you are losing the bike then.
You will come off. It's pretty simple. It's only a matter of time. Most offs dont really hurt though.

You just have to prepare. Buy sliders for the bike, and leathers for yourself.

Or get shot of the whole thing now...

Stop scaring the newbies Phil.

Some people go their whole riding life without falling off. I've seen them, briefly, in my mirror as I hammer past...

Seriously?
I am honestly trying to think here.

*burning smell*

Nothing. Not a single person I know who drives bikes has not had an off.
Here, will I start a poll?

my g/f's dad has been riding bikes for about 50 years, and he has never had an off.

philipMac 29-11-06 04:13 AM

Right then.
I am starting a poll.
