Hi Sarah & David, welcome to the org. You'll find we're all completely insane, and most of us are in danger of being sacked because of the amount of time we spend here. Just don't feed the locals, or sit down, and you'll be safe (unless in the company of some folks, and then perhaps sitting down is a good idea). Good luck on the test, hopefully the weather won't be too nasty for you! Both you & your bf will obviously be treating the bike with a fair amount of respect as she's new. I know the feeling well of getting chips on the new bike, not nice at all. |

planning on wearing lots more clothes for DAS!!!! any tips on how best to keep warm? |
Boots: a size too big so you can get a couple of pairs of socks on.
Textiles: With thermal lining. Way warmer than leathers, make sure you've got room underneath for a few layers (but not so many that you can't move your arms... That's bad.) Gloves: a good set of 'all weather' ones. Neck warmer: when it's really cold I line one with another. If the above isn't a possibility by then, the key word is 'layers'. ;) I've toyed with buying a load of those 'hot hands' things that go in your gloves and stick them in my boots and everywhere else i can get them but haven't yet as it could be distracting & dangerous if they get too hot... This won't be much help for your test, but when you pass get some heated grips on ur sv. |
Welcome.
Good luck on the test, then get your own SV! Mr Lou and I have the same bikes, and there is nothing like riding out together! |
