As stated above, this is somebody's mum, sister, daughter. It's not for anyone to say that how they earn a living deserves a savage and brutal death.

You're entitled to your opinion, Blue - but frankly I find it utterly shocking, callous.

One of the more extreme views, but I think that we are in danger of missing the point.

We have two sections of society here, both of which are sad and lacking in their own way.

I don't beleive that any one takes up prostitution as their career of choice. Most I suspect make a mistake experimenting with drugs as many young people do and find themselves in over their head with a habit that they feed the only way they can.

As far as the killer goes, if the police have got the right guy, then I hope they lock him away for good. However, this man is sick, and definitely needs some help.

This assumes that most (if not all) prostitutes are (or have been in the past) drug users. Simply untrue. One girl that I used to know actually got in to it due to a very overly agressive boyfirend that she had, and she was made to do that to pay for his habbit, because she "loved him." Luckily (with a lot of help) she managed to get out of that situation, but there's probably countless more that don't have the help that she obviously needed then.

I also know one girl (and still talk to her often) that is an absolute stunner, and started dancing. Prostitution (according to her) was "the next logical step." She knows what she's doing is illegal, and that she pretty much puts her life on the line everytime she does it, but that's what she chooses to do. She's not taking any drugs that I'm aware of either, and it's not the kind of thing she'd be likely to hide.

Obviously those two examples alone, are worthy of "culling" under Blue's theory, because of the effect they have on the community as a whole. Excuse the language, but that's ********!

I'm friends with more than one prostitute and more than a few heavy drugs users, I definitely don't think they should be murdered.
I haven't suggested that any of your friends should be killed. Please don't do the same to me.

WRCSixtyThree said it all really and I agree totally. But you see he is still drawing a line ... in his last statement ... makes sense and agree, but what’s to say the line should be drawn there? Let everyone get away with a slapped wrist or zap them all? Its impossible to make that choice.

Should this line be drawn above bikers Baph?? I’d say no obviously as I don’t think they are a particular burden to society, but someone who has had their daughter/wife/son killed by nuisance bikers might not!!

Oh and yes, not all drug users cause problems for society to feed their habits, don’t misunderstand me. I am just talking about the ones that do i.e. drug related crime here. I have nothing against prostitution prostitutes either (see my above legalisation quote), just again the related crime/problems street prostitution can bring with it …

I have personally been affected (as have members of my family) by drug related crime … have/do you?

Often killers who target "undesirables" do so out of the impression that the response to the murders will be slower and half hearted compaired to if they were say, killing bankers or lawyers, not out of some misplaced sense of community good.

Oh and as I opened "I probably shouldn't say this" ... this is a bit to hot and controversial obviously, so to prevent things getting out of hand I think I should close here?

But all should note, this is a passing thought, and as someone that has been (and continues to be) a victim of drug and nuisance related crime it makes me less sympathetic for those on the other side of the fence.

Its just me letting off steam, not what I would necessarily implement if I was in power or summin. If it got you thinking about alternative views then that's probably a good thing??

Have to agree he is a killer and as such needs to be brought to justice, but I can also see how he might inadvertently be doing the local community a service!! That’s the point I was trying to make ... :oops:
