That would be exactly my point :) It's behind the cover, the pipes are behind the swingarm, you can just see a wee bit by the sprocket. Stealthy!

I had a touring fitted new to the bike '05 ( Yes I don't get out much on the bike it's my Toy) and after 6.700 miles still got plenty left in the Res, however I keep the drip rate low, past expereince with a scotoiler on full drip and back wheel sliding was scary and expensive!

I've been meaning to ask about that. How much oil gets onto the rubber? Is it a problem? The slightest bit of moisture on a greasy roundabout puts the sh*ts up me anyway so an oily back tyre ....?

Also Norfie, where did you get the chainguard and that back hugger ot mudguard you got. I like that set up.

Chainguard's an ebay special, no idea who made it- but it was very cheap ally, one of teh lugs just snapped. Shame, I liked it... The hugger's a Pyramids one.

Oil on the back wheel is a problem especally with standard tyres! More oil gets on to the wheel rim rather than the tyre and also on the shock, chain gaurd, but easy enough to clean however I think part of the problem was the drip tube being partially blocked by dirt etc.. causing the scotoiler to blast out oil rather than drip. With the SV I have had no issues at all regarding xs oil.

I've never had problems with oil on the tyre, though I've had a small amount of spray get onto the edge a few times it's never actually caused a problem. I can see how it could though, quite easily. If you keep the flow down to the minumum effective- which is how it should be anyway- then it ought to be fine.

A pic of my scottoiler install too. Used the thread hole to mount behind the offside panel. Ran the line under the swingarm.

I have had several bikes with the HCR on them. All suffered with boltscoming loose or fractures of the mudguard. Too much weight IMO. The lube tube seems to be a brilliant solution. All chain driven bikes should have SO's fitted as standard.

Ive got mine strapped to the frame inside the rear passenger seat. The only way you can see the install is by the grey ties which hold the feed onto the swingarm. Once the autocom and toolkit are in there, as well as the disc lock, everything gets a bit cramped.

I got a voucher for Christmas off the missus and fitted mine here ---->

As you can see it has been fitted for access convenience rather than looks :roll: The only thing I have been having bother with is the setting. I know it is working cos i've got oil all over the rear wheel (including the tyre) so it is obviously too high a setting but when I try and time the drips it don't seem to drip at all. What setting on the dial is everybody's at?

Mine was up at seven but i have turned it down to five to see how that goes.
