Cans made a difference on my bike as well.. revs a lot quicker with aftermarket can on compared to standard, engine braking is altered as well... could do a weekend / few days thing of it ? camp near pembrey ? spend a day or two near there...

but will go to any of the 3. i cant put my original can back on as i have cut the link pipe. but if combe wins i will replace my race can with my road legal scorpion & hope for the best.

You can get a link pipe to rejoin, in fact you should have got one with the can.

I'd be interested in Castle Coombe too. I bought my bike with a Scorpion can on it and don't have the standard can at all. I guess I'll need to just keep my fingers crossed and if it is too loud I can just stay and laugh at everyone else

Same here.........., well that and not wanting to bin my beautiful Hornet. I can see why you guys with SVs wouldn't mind about that, though

No chance of my bike failing a noise test, eh chaps?

I've not voted in the poll as I don't think its right that I do unless I'm certain to go. Hovi5 - can you get some costs to inform the debate?

Having said that, I'd probably vote for Castle Combe as I doubt that there are enough of us from the Taffia to make it viable without the MoFos.

I just had a quick look on the Castle Combe website, cost is £125, but if your bike fails the noise test, they will refund 75% of the booking fee.

The only track I don't like the look of is LLandow, but not really bothered which of the other two so I won't be voting on any one in particular.

If it is Castle Combe I'll probably take a bimble down there beforehand to get the Fuel can tested with the baffle in (I'm a bit scared I'll fall asleep from boredom if I put the stock can back on) and I'll let you know the results, at least there'll be some kind of idea on the strictness of the noise.

Anyway hovi5, I know you say 'when it gets warmer' but are we talking March/April warmer or July/August warmer? I know how you hardened valley-dwellers think.

valleyboy 26-01-07 10:46 AM

march / April ? July /August ?!?

I was thinking February myself....

would be an idea for a gethering, and do an en-mass testing at Castle Combe ? I'll bring me baffle with me....

fizzwheel 26-01-07 10:52 AM

Castle Combe runs its days on Wednesday, the first one is on April 25th and then it runs alternate wednesdays through to October 10th...

telesv650 26-01-07 12:17 PM

Will be up for a en-masse track day...

It seems better when you know the loonies youre with...

CC is my personal choice, have done it in the car, but never on a bike...
