Agreed! Although this is a nationwide problem, expect the program to be fairly paraochial - Welsh TV programs always concentrate on the Welsh angle.

Blimey! Pleased he still around, but a new hip is no small thing. Hope all goes well with him.

The lifespan on hip replacements is about 10 years.he was too young to have it at the time(20) so for now pins and plates are there. the ministry of silly walks asked him to be a member;) it didn't put him off riding neither even after his tzr was bent in right angles- he got cbd( compulsive bike disorder) and got a rd500 as soon as he could get his leg over. 7 years and a lot of accidents he still herewith his raptor, and honestly none of them were his fault. beware of vauxhall omegas

I have before but the one thing I would not do is go onto the hard shoulder and undertake 2 lanes of traffic. They even admit that that's the only point that they feel they used a lack of judgement. Fair point, but they still got lengthy bans, a full retest ahead of them and a curfew.

That suprises me. life span of hip replacements is more that 10 years. My mother has two - (both sides) and her oldest 'new' hip is nearly 20 years old now. She walked 5-10 miles a day with her dog for 12 or more of those years. It is now becoming a little loose, but she is too old really to have a new one. Of course a lot would depend on the damge to the hip and the type of replacement joint required. Is he going to have it done?

BTW I used to have a Vauxhall Omega and lived in York! Never hit any bikers though [-X

if it went wrong, they wouldn't have liked the consequences, a ban would probably done them a favour.
touch wood i aven't come off yet, but me blokes a reminder of wat could happen, like I said hes the way he is because of people crashin into him. He went over the top of someone else, pillion, into a landrover, at 70, on the 62, couple o years ago, and didn't get a scratch. His pants felt rather warm after:D

well they are vague when they tell you ten yearsish. He's not in need of one yet, but he creaks a lot and dispises winter. Mind you Its amazing how he forgets about it when he takes part in a little horzontal jogging:smt043

FWIW in the Gaelic speaking north of Scotland all warning signs are in English i.e. ther's no Gaelic version of "SLOW". Town names and information signs have dual gaelic/english.
