I was looking forward to meeting you all on Saturday , however have just picked up a puncture , RAC have plugged it , I was told that I had a max of 280 miles & could only do a max of 40 mph , there's no way I can get time off work tomorrow so won't be able to make it .

Odd how you have a max of 280 miles. Not 300 or 250, both of which are more memorable.

I had a guy come over to work the other week, he replaced both tyres AND was £20 cheaper then if I had taken it to a garage in Stoke ...... He is from Manchester, not sure where you are? If you can't use him there maybe someone else more local to you.... just an idea. I can give you his number if you want it

I can't believe I'm posting this...

Just to advise I am not going to be attending.

Much as I like the idea of getting out and meeting up with peeps; Pete, Lissa & Baph again, others for the first time. I'm going to do the sad and boring thing of stay at home. I'm put off mostly by day I have tomorrow; an early start of 3am with the day written off in terms of personal time (London to Brighton cycle). Also that this would be a 90 mile run to get to with most of it on the M1 (I appreciate others are going further but I did do North Wales in a day not so long ago). Also also I've been persuaded to do the AR and I think I am going to, missing the meet today preserves some rubber and saves some cash for that. Have a great time folks, if there is a similar meet at Bassetts again later this summer\year then I'm sure I'll be along.

Having just seen that there's gonna be another Red K5 like mine I'm almost swayed. But no, it's still not the day for me.

Oh I know I want to. But it's not the right thing today. I wouldn't enjoy it as much with a nagging in my mind. Instead I hope to start filling in this...
