I was celebrating my 8th birthday, just I had my 38th birthday this year on the 7th.

On this years birthday I had to work a 3pm-11pm shift, and although I can't recall exactly what I did in 1977 it probably hads something to do with jelly n ice craem, cake, running around with my mates playing some ridiculous game without a care in the world.

Today - I'm not allowed any of the aforementioned foods because I'm diabetic and as I'm now a copper I can't exactly run around without a care in the world any more.

When I was 8 I couldn't wait to grow up, be an adult and be important and be taken seriously, now that I'm 38 I'd rather go back !!!!!!!!!!!!

Alternatively I could wait another 30 years and retire disgracefully, this time blaming it all on dimentia/alzheimers or something similar.
