AFAIK it is just a change of shifters, along with a longer stem. They have said they will fit V brakes which might be interesting as the frames don't appear to have the mounting points?!

Have a look at the website - they do some very nice bikes, especially TT bikes and wheels.

Oh right. ok. Nice.

Watch them V brakes. The modulation on them is not as good as it is with hydraulic disks. Like, I can be moving very fast, and hit the brakes very hard, and with the hyd. disks I know that I wont be doing a superman over the handlebars.

They probably lack a tiny bit of the brutal power of Vs, but they are great in the rain, and for long hard braking. And I can do rolling stoppies no problem, thats power enough for me.

Got V brakes on one of my other rides:-

Never really had a problem with going over the bars, apart from when I have buried the front tyre in very deep mud/sand :D. I have got about 85kg of weight to keep over the back wheel to stop it coming up too high ;).

Trying to keep the new bike as light and simple as possible, hence the v brakes over discs.

Wahaey - my new ride finally arrived tonight - seems like I have been waiting for ever.

8.1kg including pedals.

Can't wait to get out on it now.

That looks very sweet  How come you had to wait so long Matt ?

Had to wait for the new Cycle to Work offer to come out at work (1st October), then had to submit the request, wait for the letter to arrive (couldn't place the order without having the letter reference number), then Planet X were out of stock!.

Once back in stock, Planet X build the bike, invoice Halfords who only do a 'cheque run' twice monthly. Once Planet X get their dosh,, then they send the bike to Halfords for it to be collected.

Bit of a bloody trauma, but worth it.

Highlights of the bike so far are the curved rear stays, bladed spokes, full ultegra 10sp groupset, also managed to pick up a pair of brand new XTR pedals for £40.

Just got to wait for it to stop ****ing with rain now

At £999 with full ultegra it made more sense to go with the drops than pay the same for 105 with the flatbars
