Come on Capt'n hows Ian getting on?
or if Ian is looking, Hello hope all is well. |
Re: Yesterday nr woodhead
I'm at Ian's at the moment.
He's doing exceptionally well. He's got a wheelchair and is getting about in it. He's driving us to see Nemo making a fool of himself tonight :smt034(car's an auto). If everything goes to plan, he should be geting his leg in 5 weeks time and is looking at new bikes (afraid he's going to be sticking with a Green Machine - he says it's going to be black though). |
Re: Yesterday nr woodhead

Re: Yesterday nr woodhead
My word, apologies for me not spotting this much sooner. As I read through I felt for Ian and his injuries and those close to him who must have been suffering such terrible anguish.
Well done to you Captain for the upodates which thankfully got us all....and most imprtantly Ian a lot closer to the light at the end of a particularly worrying tunnel. My best wishes Ian and I can tell that you are a determined individual who will not let a setback like this stop you enjoying life. Best wishes to you and your family. Peter. |
Re: Yesterday nr woodhead
Just a little update, not been on for a while, so appologies for not letting people know, theres been a lot of support from foks here and every bit of it is appreciated.
Ian now has his new leg, , he had probs with it at first not fitting probably, but he "improved" it with a £7.99 argos blowlamp......and he getting used to it Ian and Vicki threw a LEG party a week or so ago to welcome it into the family and in the tradditional scotish way it was doused in alcohol, well somebody spilt beer on it..no prob pop it in the sink.......lol when i came in he was stood in the kitchen and i just walked in and talked to him, it was about 5 mins before i even realised he was stood unaided, and im not ashamed to say, it brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye This has been a horendous cpl of month for Ian and Vicki, and i just want to say that i am immensly proud of them both for the courage and strength theyve shown. Ians driving again now in a 2.7 auto twin turbo audi A6........( he wanted something sensible) and has just ordered a 2008 ZZR1400, again something sensible.................and ill be proud to ride with him again..........ill follow him into hell if thats what it takes........... it just shows that you never know whats round the corner.....so dont put things off to next yr or the yr after,,,,,,things change so fast.. everyone stay safe.......but not too safe....... hope everyone has a great xmas nemo. |
