Yup, order was cancelled. Probably not getting DRZ just yet. Need to see how much the flat costs us each month and then I can guage how much I have 'free' for more toys. The most sensible thing I've done since I started biking!

I do oil changes every 3'000 miles and filter/oil ever 6'000. So with this in mind at what point does an engine need to be re-built due to bearings etc?

On a hornet? Dunno ask a guy called wuntun on the hornets nest as he'll be the first to find out and his bike has over 110,000 miles on it atm

DRZ over a triple? I know that DRZs arent bad bikes (for their purpose) but over a street triple? Is it because of costs Dan? It sounds like you are quite like me in being indecisive over purchases & sales however you seem to go one step ahead of me and order it!

i know you're talking about the hairnet, but one thing you may want to be aware of - the DRZ is one of the most user friendly and low maintenance supermotos but it still needs some upkeep, especially with the oil, suzuki say every 4000 miles it should be changed but if you talk to the people who own them and use them that could almost count as neglect - it doesn't have a lot in there to start with and the gearbox is very harsh on it due to the lack of cush drive. 1000m is considered about right between changes, 500 would be nice - personally, having seen the 1500m old oil that came out of mine and the difference it made to the feel of the bike i'll be doing mine much more frequently than mr suzuki-san requests. fortunately they're so mechanically simple that it's very easy to diagnose and fix most things that could possibly go wrong, and not much does...

Can we not talk about DRZs please, cos everytime someone starts talking about them, I start thinking about buying one.
