Re: I got my D675 today
It's a 180.
Few more pix uploaded: This is a close up of the tyre, the gap from the tread to the edge is one and a half inches each side. You can clearly see where I ran out of confidence, it was just too cold to push it any further. Paul, I don't believe in this 'keep it below 5K rpm' stuff, it's impossible anyway if yo don't want to be overtaken by a scoot. Have taken it to 10K peak today, then let it fall back. It rides much more like a V twin than a IL4. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...e/IMG_0889.jpg carbon everywhere, mmmm. I don't like the midsection of the pipe, I'm thinking of having it ceramic blacked. Hugger's carbon too, not that there's much of it. Ive got all the plastic bits that they replace with c/fibre, I'm not going to stick em on ebay as I like a set of spares, no I'm not going to drop it!! Pillion pegs are coming off. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...e/IMG_0887.jpg |
Re: I got my D675 today

Re: I got my D675 today
Looks great Ed , a cracking bike.
I like the fact they have SS brake lines as standard. It has to be the second best looking bike out there after the ZX6R ;) |
Re: I got my D675 today
Second best looking bike?? Pistols at dawn, sir!!!!!
This is the c0ckpit: http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...e/IMG_0890.jpg All those light round the right side of the tacho are programmable gear change lights, you can set them to tell you when to change gear (just noticed - you can't see'em in this pic, but they are there). Gimmick. And they're blue LEDs!!!! And this beautiful tall leggy blonde is way way better than any Bennetts babe: http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...e/IMG_0893.jpg |

Re: I got my D675 today
That's the worst looking, ugliest bike in the naffest colour I have ever seen, I'm so pleased I haven't got one! :smt012
... and I'm not even a little bit jealous :---) That is a really really nice looking machine:thumright: you is one lucky fella!! Give the tyres a hundred miles or so and they'll be fine, roll her around a bit to roughen 'em up - with no 'tread' on the edges, means you have more rubber in contact with the road :p Less climbing off and more leaning the bike over the tyres will be fine |
Re: I got my D675 today
Making the engine chug is going to produce far more heat in a non-run in engine than letting it have its head will. Running in isn't a precise science, and revs don't equal load.

Re: I got my D675 today
True oh King!!! This was a burn up a hill, not a constant speed. It was full load. Dizz, I disagree - I think it'll like the occasional blip.
I realise that I'm extremely fortunate to have a bike like this. Funny how while I liked the D650 I never 'loved' it, it had no soul, or if it did I never found it. This final pic says it all: http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...e/IMG_0895.jpg |
Re: I got my D675 today
As said I'd rather have rubber between me & a dry road than be on the treads - they don't help your grip in the dry.
Lovely bike, I'M THRILLED THAT YOU LOVE IT SO. (EXCUSE CAPS) |
