Re: Which earphones for riding?
on the advice of this thread I got some CX300s for my birthday, they are cracking, good enough to use as earplugs (for short trips at least) without music but fantastic fit and sound great even at speed. very impressed.

Re: Which earphones for riding?
I was told earlier this year whilst taking my CBT that listening to music was illegal as its likely to block the sound of emergency vehicles, is this correct? Wouldnt mind something to block a bit of noise, i have a shoei lid with whisper strip, most noise is coming from the visor.

Re: Which earphones for riding?
Better tell cage manufacturers to stop putting radios and cd players in cars then eh?
Hadn't heard about it being illegal and can't imagine it is. It may not be the best idea but I don't think its much worse than just my ear plugs. if you don't currently use earplugs I'd advise trying some of them first to get used to the sensory reduction but entirely up to you, from the earlier thread it seems a popular idea heh :) |

Re: Which earphones for riding?
I had some shure E2c headphones which i used to ride with and they were great till i caught the cord on a kitchen draw handle and knackered them. £60 down the pan :(
Then i found some by a company called ultimate ears and they are completely modular. So if you break a bit you can replace them, and also if you rip the wire out you can just plug them back together. Not ridden with them yet but they are top class for canceling out everything on planes and noisy people in offices :) oh and they give a really good quality sound. |

Re: Which earphones for riding?
What's the difference between CX300s and CX400s apart from price?

Note - you will also need to buy an extension cord as the earphone pieces from the phone plug into the microphone piece and are therefore only long enough to reach your chest! |
