I would 100% avoid getting your pegs down ever, let alone on the road:shock::confused:

As soon as it touched down, I lifted the bike a little bit. I was right at the edge of the 120/70 front tyre so I was quite happy with the lean angle.

I get my pegs down on my way to work most days. Never come off yet. They are quite nicely ground down now though. :(

It the first time they did into soft warm tarmac or or dissapear into the tiniest of holes and unsettle the bike.

Seen a vtr dig its pegs in ones, not a nice ending lol....I keep my toes right on the edge of the pegs, that way my toes will go down if my knee hasnt already, as long as something goes down before the pegs.

Good advice. I remember when I still had those sticky outy bits underneath my pegs. They dug in and wobbled me all over the show. Took them off straight away and then got some toe sliders. Although I keep wearing the toe sliders out, they do sparkle nicely. :smt026

The exahsut can on my CBR is the first thing to touch down. It's quite scary when it starts shaking the bike about at eeek mph through Copse.

I should have known that changing the footrests for ones without hero blobs wasn't a good idea.
