Striking and generally being a PITA is a great incentive for employers to go to people who are more appreciative of the work, even if they were to be paid the same.

As an aside, I find it ironic and amusing in equal measure that the head of a supposedly Labour government is begging people not to strike.

Mmmm, not certain of my facts here but I don't think Kosovo was part of the EU when there was trouble there.
I mean that, as we are all 'friends' in the EU (which is really what this thread is moaning about) ,we won't go to war with them.
Is Kosovo part of the EU now? Is it still called Kosovo?

They became The Republic of Kosovo last year, they are not in the EU but are in a way governed by them in a bid to keep peace.

people have the right to live and work to live here just as I had the right to live and work in Sweden and Australia. Whats the beef?

You went to work in Australia,didn't you require a visa/permit were there immigration controls,the like of which no longer exist in this country for an EU citizen. I think this country is swamped out with foreign labour.How much more are we expected to tolerate,something like this may just make the government instead of being so bloody PC
