I didn't know what year it was though as the reg was always hidden. So I'm guessing it's an '02 or '52

That's what I first thought  that it was a letter reg and the '2' on show was irrelevant, but then Venom was making out that I should know what year it was :smt102.
I admit I missed the PGM -FI emblazoned down the side ;)

Looks like you had a good ride.

How do you rate the CBR600F as a first bike? Its one of my options I'm looking at, at the minuteee..

ive never ridden anything else so im not the best person to ask, but im not the most skilled rider in the world and he's ok for me. im really picky with bikes and would only consider a sports bike so my instructor told me cbr 600 Fs were the best because they are the most forgiving of all the options i gave him. i know its not an RR and has a gay pillion/rider seat but i slightly love him lol

Ahh I was just wondering how you felt it being your first bike. I'm stuck between CBR600F and SV, however thinking the SV for the torque on the restrictor :)

again i cant help you - people say IL4s dont restrict well, blah blah blah, but ive never had a problem with it, it doesnt get ar$ey at me and as i;ve never ridden anything else i wouldnt know what i was missing or if there is a difference

however, CBR Fs are heavier than SVs i think, and the riding position is more leany-over

I'd be interested to know, would an SV650 (esp. pointy one) qualify as a sports bike according to your criteria? When i started I was just looking for insurance friendly (= Bandit) & was quite please when I moved up to an SV as I thought it was quite sporty (clip ons & 2 headlights like an R1)
