Mmmm, beans on toast...

So nice with lots of black pepper and melted cheese on top

:)

I tend to melt the cheese into the beans as they heat up and then lots of freshly ground coarse black pepper. mmmm, mmmm, mmmmmmmm..

Superhero lunch, lol.

Perhaps this thread should be re-named the "baked beans on toast fan club"

But yes, Im another fan of baked beans. I had them for the first time in years the other day - slice of cheese on toast with hot beans poured on top..yummo!! :smt023

In answer to what Quiff raised: It hasn't taken the credit crunch to make me enjoy the simple things in life, Ive always enjoyed simple things. Simple things make me happy :D I guess thats why Ive not really been affected by the credit crunch. I still do everything I used to do!

Although..the only real change ive made is that I've quit the gym (due to a new job with less money) and decided to go running in the park for free. Oh, and rollerskating :D im not too bad now - managed to get to the park and back in one piece

I can't believe that nobody has mentioned chip butties. Of course they need to be made from home made chips (not nasty oven chips) and sticky white bread for the maximum value.

Beans on toast or a jacket potato with hot chilli come in joint second in the comfort food stakes.

Keith.

maria you aint lived till you've had a ham, cheese and salt'n'vinegar crisps sandwich my love. That Matt fella just dont know how to treat a lady by the sounds of things ;)
Seriously tho the above must be made using the finest, tastiets ham from the deli, cut very thick, then the strongest most maturest cheddar they sell and a handfull of salt'n'vinegar of you prefered brand. Loads of butter on white bread and off you go. Yummmeh.

You'll all be pleased to hear that i got soaked on the walk to the shops and back but i'm now sitting here eating 2 fish finger sarnies :) Yay!

I like frying a small onion and a bit of bacon, then adding the beans. On toast, with grated cheese sprinkled on top. We used to call it beano pie!

But no-one's yet mentioned the king of beans - Heinz Curried beans. Cold, straight from the tin, with a slice of white bread. Yum, yum!
