I think your perspective is skewed, his moves on Rossi were just as aggressive.

But he didn't hit him, did he?

Rossi didn't hit him as far as I ever saw, and I've watched it enough. And, even if he did, are you saying that's not part and parcel of hard racing?

stoner's a brilliant rider i don't know why people won't just respect that he just isn't a carismatic showman but that's not his job he's there to win race's end of.

Sorry, my bad with the hit. Didn't see the race since it was on.

I do think that it's a part of racing however I think you have to understand why he was so pi$$ed off with Rossi (apart from the fact he lost).

As for his reaction, it made the race even more interesting for me.

if Casey had the PR abilities Rossi had would everyone still be having a go at him? he may not be the likeable chap everyone would like him to be but surely he deserves more credit than some are prepared to give him? Rossi moans too - about tyres not doing the job properly - blah blah blah..

Casey's shy.. he's admitted it. he's admitted he just wants to race and be the best he can - he doesnt want to sit in post race interviews.. perfection is what he strives for. he has a job to do and wants to get on with it... leave him be - he doesnt need to compete off the track with Rossi aswell.. one "clown" off the track is enough.. i spose if he was as wacky as Rossi, those that "boo" him would be having a go at him becos he trying to be like Rossi.

you win some you lose some and some are just not worth fighting

If he just wants to race, maybe he should avoid the snide comments he makes. I think everybody would be happy with that. Whateveryou think of Rossi, at the end of the day, he is gracious in defeat.

It's not about being liked, but Casey himself has brought a lot of this on himself by making comments, and complaining about not being liked-he should forget about that and race.

I thought it was a hard fought race, but his reaction was OTT I felt. If he felt Rossi was over the line he should have let him go, instead he pulled more and more aggressive moves, which implies he was up for it.

I'm sure he is an ok guy, I really don't get riled up by him, it's a minor annoyance, I just find it funny now. Good luck to him, all I want to see is hard and fast racing, I'm loving the fact Rossi isn't having it easy.

Rossi had a total do or die attitude in that race, and it's not hard to see why another rider would think that's unacceptable. Stoner shouldn't have to give up a spot because he's scared of getting taken out by a lunatic, if he did then they'd all be lunatics all the time. It's racing not "let me back past or I'll end it for us both".

Rossi was on the raggedy edge in more ways than one in that race. If it had been the other way round and Stoner was the aggressor, he would have got an absolute pasting.

Are we still talking about racing?

As for that race, I didn't mind Stoners' comments, or Rossi riding a bit too hard. Added up, made an epic race.
