GT5 will be good Killzone i didnt rate at all ... and
resistance 2 was just as poor as resistance 1 imo ...

Anyways im not saying the PS3 is crap... like i have said i own both consoles twice but for online play the Xbox is a no brainer.

40 quid a year is well worth it ... for the quality of serivce.

Personally i wouldnt want to buy an electrical good at that price off of ebay.

If your mobile phone contract is near renewal you can get PS3/Xbox/Wii instead of a fancy phone. Thats what i did, sony ericson 510 or something (decent enough), and a PS3, for around £30 a month.

Dave, buying with a phone deal seems to be best at moment, as said hopefully prices may come down with Xmas deals, but I will get one for Xmas, I will, I will, thanks for all your comments folks, will have to get out and see a ps3 in action.

My phone contract is up for renewal. At the moment I'm paying £18 a month for next to nothing and I really don't need another phone (already lug too around :( ) Anyone know which companys do such a deal?

BlueFM; sorry if I hijacked your thread a bit - hopefully asked some questions that helped you though!

i went to carphone warehouse, i think most phone retailers (except for going direct to O2 etc) do similar deals.

yeah the first batch of ps3's 60gb i have one with a 4usb ports and SD card readers ect .
my other one doesnt play ps2 games ...

most of the PS3 officials are toss lol .

heavy rain will be one of the most unique games this generation you wont find that on the xbox so i dont see why you can say ps3 exclusives are toss and what about uncharted 2 sure there's a few less titles but the quality is much higher on average quality over quantity anyday.

Re: PS3 or XBOX

Owning both I would say PS3. Purely as all the killer apps for the Xbox have been and gone really. The PS3 is just coming into it's stride an has oodles more oomph than the old box. The xbox is now over 4 years old. In the console world it is getting towards the end of it's life cycle (the average is 5 years but PS2 way out lived that). The only killer app left for Xbox would be Reach, which is another title in the Halo universe. I have to say though, Killzone 2 on ps3 is not beaten by anything on any platform for visuals and visceral feeling. One of the finest shooters there is.

The good point about the box is that it's cheap and has oodles of games now, it is a tad unreliable though. My ps3 never broke once, I've had 6 boxes now!!
