Made the 3 hour trip down to Mark Sadler's Go Racing Developments workshop in Witney, Oxon today to see what Mark has done with the 2010 MRO Minitwins bike.....:D We dropped it off before Xmas as a crash-damaged '03 write off, now thanks to Mark and Tim Drummond (T.D Heating) it looks and feels like a pukka race bike. Can't wait to get the sassy little beast on track, Almeria in a weeks time for 3 days, then back to Witney for a full engine re-build, spray job & cosmetic repairs (BIG dent in the tank :(), ready for round 1 at Brands........we nearly dropped the SV when we picked it up it was so heavy, now it weighs NOTHING, the Hindle system looks great, as does all of the SDC/BB Plastics stuff (thanks to SDC for the fast turn around:smt023), just the battery, loom, rad, hoses, chain/sprockets, SES rearsets & fairing to fit and we're ready to roll......can't wait :)

Mine is pretty much the same as last year. Only difference is a few more go faster stripes and a lap timer/data logger.

Roll on this weekend! :D

I thought it was only the 05 bikes that had the black frame, or did you paint it? Is the Ohlins made specifically for the SV or is it one you're adapted/acquired? It's just I'd have though the gas cylinder is going to get a bit toasted that near to the downpipe.

Thats a nice (and very clean) looking bike.

Pics of my bike are on my website www.argaumracing.co.uk

Though at the moment it's in my living room (understanding wife) a bit stripped down as I have just finished the valve clearances.

For the race school in feb it will probably look just as it does in these pics but i'm hoping to have a full race fairing fitted by for the first race in March :smt023

Mark Sadler has had it stripped right down to the last nut & bolt (just the engine to strip & build on it's return from testing next week), frame went to Maidstone Motoliner to be jigged nice & true (no point sorting the suspension if the frames out!), then frame & swingarm were powder coated black (didn't like the silver, very tacky!), hopefully the wheels will be done too at some point, depending on budget. The rear shock is the correct SV shock, as supplied by Harris Performance, it's actually not that close to the pipe, it's a bit deceiving on the photo.:smt023

Mark has done a fantastic job with the bike, we'll know how good it is when the we return from pre-season testing next week:driving:

Cheers!

I know it's not a Mini-Twin/Pro-Twin, but there isn't a general club racing section here! :)
