I find it very hard in this day and age to see how anybody believes in a god, higher power etc. Believe me though the apocalypse is coming :(

Dave Allen was taking the p1ss out of religeon of all sorts, but mainly the Catholic denomination, to good effect quite a few decades ago. Nothing new in it.

It's not, in my view, about whether religeon/faith is fair game as a subject for humour. It's aboout whether Civil Servants should be wasting their time in the office (at our expense) doing so.

If there is a God, assuming It's paying the slightest bit of attention and not tinkering with something else he knocked up in the celestial garage, It is probably having a laugh at the f***-up we've made of It's advice.

If the average man in the street says he's hearing voices nowadays he's sectioned under Mental Health Act because the bloke is obviously doolally. If a man was to have heard voices back in the age before the bible/Koran were written he would have been hailed as a messiah and revered for evermore.

This is one of those things that has me disbelieving all religion and their followers. I fail to see how any normal straight thinking reasonably intelligent human being can believe there is a big deity in the sky who looks after them, it makes no logical sense and despite attempts to prove their existence for thousands of years, everyone has failed to find him/it. Isn't it about time these religious people grew up and stopped believing in sky-pixies.

Religion was developed as a means to control large groups of people with fear, and that's all.

Ah, the science versus religion/belief debate. There is no winning side, only argument. The two are mutually exclusive.
