Re: whisky??
I'm sporting a bit of a hangover this AM thanks to getting into the whiskey last night: Lagavulin 15y Distillers Edition. Also like the Ardbeg - tastes like liquid campfire smoke (but in a nice way). My Mrs also hates the smell of it, and won't go near me after I've had a drink

I've used The Whisky Exchange for the odd time i've bought a few bottles. They are good people and let me spend about an hour looking around their warehouse late one evening after work! Dan |

Re: whisky??
I'm partial to a drop or 10 of Laphroaig or Ardbeg in particular. They're my faves but am willing to try more purely in the interests of science of course :p

Apparently (tho may be an urban myth) St Andrews University Whisky Apreciation Society got into some trouble for a t-shirt that read "St Andrews Whisky-Soc do it with 15 year olds", this was after they had considered and replaced "12 year olds" to "15 year olds" in the name of good taste.... |
Re: whisky??
Just been given a small bottle of Lagavulin 16yo by my son, not got into that yet. Currently have a cask strength Laphroig, a Bowmore, a Glenfarclas 15yo and a Balvennie Double Wood on the go.
I recently bought an 18yo Tomatin for a friend and was very impressed by that as well. Whisky? Yes please! :smt040 |
Re: whisky??
Really loving Lagavulin at the moment: the missus took me to a whisky bar near Marble Arch the other day: crap music but over 200 bottles of the good stuff:
