Jackie, the 150 miles is usually when the fuel light is flashing and I chicken out and find the nearest petrol place ;) The guys at the shop said it's ~20 miles to empty when the light's flashing so once it starts I tend to fill up soonish cos there's no way I'm pushing it :p The older ones are a nuisance for that but I was used to filling up so often after having a raptor thou before it :smt120

I had a 98 hornet for a couple of months side by side with the SV. Both great bikes, both induced a great smile. The SV was a lot newer so sold the Hornet on.

I now have the post deal uncertainty I always get. :smt120
It's fine though. Just felt right, looked right and I dont need a tourer anymore. Never had a Honda, apparently they are made from slightly harder cheese than suzukis.

I used to have a Hornet, an 03 reg one. Very capable bike, did everything I asked of it.

Would I have one again??? - Yes.

Do I detect a note of irony in there...:D

It was a while ago now, so I don't remember it fully I'm afraid. It was 100% reliable, it never let me down, everything worked and worked well too. It was fast enough, riding position OK, handling OK, the only irritation that I recall was that the tank range was a bit limited. It was a capable sweet-handling bike. I deffo don't recall it being a POS. I bought it after a major off and I was getting my confidence back, it was entirely predictable and it did a lot to get my bike mojo back. I chopped it in for a Daytona 650.

Sorry I can't give a complete write up, but it was 2005 - 2007. And I can't even remember what I did yesterday, let alone 5 years ago:smt120

Nah mate, not being funny. Tis a good review.
I've never had a honda. I looked at the daytonas, very nice but i'm trying to cut costs and the tick was an extra hundred quid a month. In two years my £110 monthly student loan payment finally stops. I'll get another sports bike then! For now I want something reliable, well finished and all rounderish and i've always liked the look of the hornet, the fact its a naked will keep my speeds legal too!

Wouldn't bank on the legal speeds bit, build a few neck muscles and 120mph plus is quite easily achieved over a mile or three :) Disclaimer thats what I have been told lol.
