Re: PS3 v XBox.

I'm getting sick of my xbox, it keeps breaking and COD has stopped loading up the maps now so I can't play that.

Keep thinking about getting a PS3 but everyone I ask says the online is crap and very laggy. And I don't want to have to spend loads buying all the games I like on the PS3. So if this one doesn't sort itself out I'll probably end up buying a new xbox, and hopefully it will be more reliable.

Strangely my xbox has always been totally reliable, but my ps3 is broken... and I only used it for blurays once i realised how **** it was for gaming. The xbox has had hundred of hours put into it and it's 100% reliable for me.

It really isn't that bad, the only problem i have ever had is with the new Call of Duty, but that is a known problem. Other than that never a problem. I know that the Xbox Live is a better online platform, but still for me all my mates are on PS3 not Xbox so that makes it better anyway.

Xbox all the way!

Everyone that has problems with discs just need to download the game to the harddrive (if it's big enough) then there will never be a problem! As once you have done that it doesn't need the disk to spin to read the data.

Xbox live is worth the £40 per year (cheaper if you hunt around). Rarely any lag and if there is, it finds another feed with no lag.

Games are great and like someone said already, DLC always first!

Iv had both since release date, have a 360 and a ps3 in 3 different rooms of the house,
gone through my reasons which I prefer to many times on this forum but ill just leave it at this

Xbox is the console i would choose but they are both excellent machines,
also recently the ps3 has been full opened up so not long now till we can install custom CWF's like on the 360 ;) :) whoop woo

I voted for xbox only because i play online. I have a PS3 too but only got tiger woods 2010, well till the devs make a working backup manager after the Sony security key was extracted then i`ll have loads to play lol.

That's a good point... going yo ho ho aside, the now wide-open PS3 could become the successor to the original (modded) Xbox as the awesome media player/emulator box of choice under your TV. It's great: region free DVD, stream some porn across the network from one of my other PCs, and then fire up MAME and play Street Fighter 2.

Well the poll currently standing at 12/13 hasn't exactly made a decision for me.

Think I will probably go for the PS3. I don't go online gaming (although it seems if I wanted to with a PS3, I could) It has a blu ray player thingy (what ever that means), I can watch sky via the PS3. Although How I could do that and play the play station at the same time I haven't quite worked out yet. And I am very much used to the controller that comes with the PS3 and it feels comfortable and familiar.

Re: PS3 v XBox.

i cant understand why anyone would use the "ps3 is free online gaming" case as a plus
as an online gaming console the ps3 is a pile of poo weather it be free or not when compared to xbox live

stig if you enjoy playing online then the ps3 will let you down, if your not to bothered about that then either
console would be a good call, the ps3 does offer more.
Entertainment system..go with ps3
Gaming... go with xbox (altho you can also watch sky etc through the xbox)
