If you look at the Motorola Atrix and what you see is the mobile phone becoming a laptop or the very least a mini iPad.
Come a long way since my first phone. So dual core to rival other must have electric goods.
My Nokia 1208 is very good with phone calls thought. And that is not dual core.

Re: HTC Phones
What is the point of dual core, without the development of an operating system to support it and apps to exploit it? Multitasking needs a good scheduling algorithm with the ability to prioritise tasks. is Android that yet???
I doubt the smart phone and even tablets will ever be able to replace the laptop for anything but the most ad hoc of browsing. The first thing I did with my tablet is stick a keyboard on it and I tend to use it as a remote access tool to proper computers

Re: HTC Phones
Get the Samsung Galaxy S2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its quite simply the best/most powerful phone around at the moment. It could be expensive though.
Here is a video showing just how powerful it is vs the very nice Desire S (I have a HTC Desire and im 99% sure the galaxy S2 will be my next one).
Id advise watching some of his other video's if you want to know more. Its very informative!
There is also this video which is the galaxy S vs a few other phones for Browsing performance.
(note: thunderbolt is pretty much a Desire HD)
The Desire HD is nice but getting a little long in tooth, the other issue with it is that they stuck a relatively tiny battery in there! 1200MaH which on a phone with a huge SLED screen is poor! Even the Desire has a 1440MaH with a smaller more power friendly screen.
The HTC sensation is another phone worth looking for in the next few months but ill be honest, I dont think it will be able to topple the Galaxy S2. The Super AMOLED + screen is amazing and makes a Super LCD display look crap to be honest...

It must be my oversized fingers but several times I have found myself dialing the number above/below the contact I thought I had pressed, the same with the keyboard, I occasionally get adjacent keys. Apps however seem quite reliable if sometimes quirky but I guess that is down to the programmer.
Tim, try searching for "Call Confirm" (it's Free !!!), nifty little app that stops you dialling the wrong number ;)

Blue. I have got rid of sense off of my desire and don't miss it at all. From what I see samsungs thouch wizz is much more functional but maybe a little less showy. The speed of the damn thing is mad, Which for me is the main thing.
The Sony Erricson arc, its a last Gen phone tone to be honest, its the same hardware as the desire HD and SE's idea of customise android is crap. Ill add that SE was my favorite phone maker until recently, my friends x10 was shocking :(

Think you confuse light weight with cheap and tacky. I for one don't. Afterall carbon fiber could be described the same... Each to their own huh. You by anychance like brick weight and style?
