We have (has to count) 7 cats at the moment.
They have the run of just over an acre and keep the small creatures down to a minimum. Suffice to say, there are no mice in our house.
They are great killers!!!
Sometime ago I was telling my wife's grandfather I had tried everything but could not rid one of our out buildings of snakes. His responce, "Got cats? Feed them inside that building"

Sorry if my cats keeping the moles out of my garden, and the mice and snakes to a minimum on the property offends anyone. :p
They are all really sweet when they're in the house. ;)
But they are hunters as mother nature intended them to be.

Should cats all be kept inside? Just imagine the over run of bird and mice populations if they all were.
It's the balance of nature. The planets way of taking care of itself.
Should the prey creatures all have equal rights?
Should the trees all be kept all the same size?

(my hair used to look like that LOL)

No more little gifts so I suspect they found one easy access nest and emptied it.

Last night they played with their bungee mouse instead, then this morning Iggle poked me in the eye in bed to wake me up, then when he got told to $od off he proceeded to spend five minutes licking his bum before coming back up the bed and giving me a big smoochy face rub.

And there is research that shows that cats provide stress relief - I'm not sure how though!

i'd have a cat over a dog anyday, the cat digs a hole and buries his sh*t,whereas as a dog leaves it all over the lawn, pavement, playingfield etc,and not all owner clear it up
