I won't be there, but only because I just realised that I don't have enough money for petrol and I need new tyres at the end of this week.

Make note note to go over the center white lines on leaving the harvester, on my route back up to biggin hil at the motorway junction.

They are not just white lines, they are nicely raised. Caused a nice tank slapper which i recoved from without much of a panic, dont know what i did but i know i did not try to fight it and it seemed to stop.

Also have to readjust chain as this morning as i was coming to a turning, i went to shift down and it decided not to play ball and had no drive through the corner and when i did go in i nicley got a bit sideways.

All well though, made it to work.

Why were you having to go over those lines? Werent you in the proper lane or something? :?

Only white lines I go across are just further down and usually to overtake the cages and never had a problem with those...

And you dont check your chain/tyres etc before you get on the bike? :? Always check mine now to avoid above situation and certainly make sure my tyre pressures are ok. This 5 mins could be the difference between you getting there or being in hospital. :?

But Ill admit I learnt that lesson the hard way too... :(

Ta for last night...had a really nice time! Also had a bit of a moment last night...I hit the white lines in Borough green while changing down to go round the corner, wheel span and bike went sideways...fortunately I managaed to keep her up and went on my merry way. A lovely ride home along really dark(and busy) country lanes.

I was overtaking some cages, they did have some road works down there a couple of weeks ago, they might have changed the road surface.

I do check, but i thought that it was ok. Its needed adjustment a few times recently. Probably the chain is worn out?

if youre adjusting your chain more frequently than usual its a good indication you may need a new chain and sprockets soon.
