possibly the throttle boddies being out of balance.... I would usualy attempt to do these myself.. as they were simple to do on the SV.... slightly more involved with this thing... plus I want them to do a few other things at the same time as well... and if after they are done the problem is still around.. Im in trouble.....

the other bloke who has simular problems had his bike dyno'd... its only putting out 70HP  I dont think mine is that bad.. but its getting there.... hopefully can get it fixed... and use ALL the rev range quickly again!

VB longshot I know but what about having a remap of the fuelling done?? or possibly a dud injector

valleyboy 24-04-06 07:41 PM

Its back on the standard can now, so theres no way it should need a re-map of the fueling... I'll get the throttles balanced anyway, as they needed doing a few thousand miles ago

Theres a bloke on the Ninja forum with the exact same problem, except he has a ZX-6R B2.. basicaly same machine give or take a bit or two.. lol

hes going to keep me updated on his problems as well.....

may have changed my mind with regards to this anyway.. Ive been out buzzing the local roundabouts for a laugh, and know exactly where to stay away from in the rev range for trouble free riding now... sadly, that means changing gear before 10K rpm.. which is roughly about the same power output as an SV at that point...

Hi there VB,notice your having a few problems with your bike.
If its any help to you if you get real desperate i can take my power commander off my bike and fit it to yours to see if it cures the problem, but its a bit of a strip down job, fuel tank off, rear cowl, seat cover, battery off etc so not a quick job but like i said if you get desperate the offer is here.

VB, Don't know much about the ole throttle boddies but I guess balance is the same as for the od carb setup. One fixed and match the others to suit, if you need a spare ear (as in listening to the intake) give me a shout. Balanced carbs that way a while back.

WTF happened to the forecast - when I check last night it said sunny all day :?

Oh well - I never trust a forecast this far in advance

Worst case scenario is I'll have to get the gazebo up and I will be getting wet whilst barbequeing - wouldn't be the first time
