When I was a young tearaway (during the war  )I got arrested and charged with an offense which I was guilty of but I defended myself in court and got off with it. It was'nt anything too serious IMHO but I would have had a record for it and it would have had a bearing on my employability in future years.
Similarly now if I got too many points on my license and lost it my job goes with it as does my means of earning a living and all that entails.
For many people it is'nt just a matter of "taking it on the chin" and only a few poiunts and a few quid in the community chest like some after school detention, but a life changing sentence so fighting it is fine in my book.

I can promise you that me and Bambi never did anything like that.
Maybe I was lucky but Bambi was tired and shagged out after a long squawk that day leaving me free to hold up the Wells Fargo express all on my own. 8)

Hey, I'm guilty as charged. The vehicle was equipped with camera kit. He showed me the evidence of the average speed. I am just confused as to what he wrote on the ticket and thought there might just be a chance that I got even luckier because he forgot or made a mistake and didn't enter the speed for which I got the ticket.

I was thinking that maybe 90 mph might have got me say 4 points, where as no actual speed indicated might be just 3 points.

At the end of the day, the officer had enough information of all my offences he could quite easily have made it a court appearance and loss of licence.

I shall bend over and take my medicine and you wont even see me flinch.

did you recieve a verbal caution

"you are to be reported for the consideration of the offence of speeding" with the usual "you do not have to say anything.." etc?

if he didn't, you have got away with it
