Wow, and R&G charge £20 per bung. I think have a old slightly scuffed one I think from when I dropped it on the drive.

they tried to charge me 45 quid for a bung (without the screws, just bung) at the ally pally show this year, yet my bung is smaller than an SV bung.

cheers law but i'll probably go for a new one - i need the screw too, anyway - not sure if you have that!

£20 for a piece of rubber...bloody hell.

ok, some news!

so, i had a service last week where they also drilled out a snapped exhaust stud and re-tapped it.

for this, they'd have taken off the fairing...i.e. removed the crash bung...so in case i was just being paranoid, i thought i'd check with them if in fact they forgot to put it back on and i just hadn't noticed (unlikely as i checked the bike over before i left the garage).

they said they'd actually taken off the other fairing...but said they'd give me a free crash bung as a gesture of goodwill! i didn't even say they did it, i just asked and said i'd noticed it was missing and wanted to see if they'd left it off by accident!

so, thumbs up to metropolis greenwich...they did a good job on the bike as far as i can tell, too...

p.s. this pretty much definitely means someone stole it, grr (winds me up no end, that does). going to question the car park people today...
