The real quesiton is "Once you have your operating system installed, do you want to have any software to run on it?" hehe
Tho admittedly apart from a 3d moddelling proggy I mess around with, I could probably get by on a Mac, as all I do is browse the web, read email and play World of Warcraft these days.
Mind you there isn't a Mac that can touch my setup for 3d capabilities at the moment so my WoW experience would be less good - Dell 24" Widescreen LCD's are really nice for gaming on :)

Amen to that. Currently at work, posting on a nice Dell box, running Debian with VMWare to allow access to Exchange and the rest of the M$ bollox I "need" to do my job.
Still do have a couple of Windows boxes at home, namly the laptops, my gaming boxes and the Mediabox - basically anything the Wife needs to use :)
