   SUCCESS!!!

Passed! Only two minor faults too. Lady luck was smiling on me on Thursday. I went straight from the test center to pick up my shiny SV. Check out my beautiful new steed!

I'm sure glad those three days are over. Many thanks for all your support and motivation you guys & gals. So, who's comin' down to lovely Exeter for a bimble then?

I think the quote is "Well done kid, don't get cocky"

Congrats

... Yep. I'd like to reassure you all that I do have both a strong sense of self-preservation and an acute awarenes of just how different this bike is from what I am used to.

I'll be taking the coming weeks, many of them, with the most leisurely of approaches. Niether my Wife or Daughter would thank me for wrapping myself around something hard and immovable, plus I dont want to scratch my new bike!

I've no desire to add to the statistics. I think it speaks volumes of this forum that your first responses to a newly qualified rider are to 'take it easy'. I've read the 'Fallen Friends' bit with deep sympathy and I've no intention of contributing.

Cheers y'all.

Welcome to the new found freedom you now have :)

As has been said, ride carefully! You'll soon gain confidence on the bike & it'll be time to attack those chicken strips & get your knees down. But those come in good time, and you learn where you can do it and where you can't.

I still haven't got my knee down yet, but that's now more due to a lack of knee sliders than anything else. I think a few times I've almost had sparking footpegs

Good to see a sensible head on your shoulders, and keep thinking of the Mrs & kid whilst you're on the bike. Guranteed to make you ride safe. Well, maybe you should be thinking about the cars too, but you get the point.

Keep it right way up
