Back on topic for one second, after experiencing what my Sv had to offer in the accellerating, braking and handling departments quite frankly the thought of 150 on a standard SV scares the **** out of me.

theres no chance you'll make it. It'll run out of steam, remember the power isn't made at the top of the rev range, so you'd need to hae 150mph at about 9000rpm. Its not going to happen!

at 136mph i still had tach left but no power so you better add more ponies if you want 150

Paah, that's nothing, try a scoot at 80mph, now that is scary [-o<

Cheers Mark.

Jump off an R6 onto the SV, and it feels VERY underpowered, very slow above 80 - but still VERY fun! :)

Back on topic... I think it would be VERY possible to get 150+ recorded on the speedo (bearing in mind it isn't the true speed) - I've got 148 to display on my bike (not saying where!) with just a K6 SV650s with lower fairing, open race cans, and having it dyno'ed to fit the exhaust. No other alteration - just a bit of road a few miles long, (very little traffic) and very good aerodynamic positioning on the bike!
This still wasn't hitting red line, but had no sign of it wanting to get there either.

Personally... I wouldn't bother though! But if you want to try it just so you can say you got it to read 150 on the clock, go for it! :)
