I don't want to set you off Quedos but you don't need people to state a preference, either is a perfectly acceptable answer!

very true but when you've got 13 eithers there's still no decision - so in other words I'm ducking out of making a decision for everyone.

Northy - can we stick a Livingston vs Larbet poll on this please? Please vote folks? If you don't care vote for whichever one is nearest home or work or generally easiest to get to, at least that way we'll reach a democratic conclusion. If only one person votes, he/she becomes the dictator, then everyone'll have to ride/drive to where he/she wants to go.

Choose democracy, choose dictatorship, choose a life, choose a three bed semi, choose a family saloon, choose a wife n 2.4 kids.....;-)

Xtreme Karting will be the first track in the UK to use the new Rimo high performance karts, setting new standards of performance for indoor karting in the UK due to their unmatched race like driving characteristics and performance.

Adult Kart
Rimo has been designing indoor racing karts for over 9 years, and are now on their fourth generation of the exciting EVO adult kart. Already extensively used throughout the rest of the world, including the Schumacher Kartcenters in Germany and the F1 karting centres in the USA, the EVO 4 has an extensive track record as a high performance indoor kart.
Incorporating a specially designed alloy frame for optimum handling, the EVO 4 karts incorporate a race tuned Honda GX 200 cc engine producing 7.5 bhp for increased performance.
The EVO 4 karts are also fitted with a HJS racing exhaust system, further improving performance whilst its integrated catalytic convertor reduces emissions.
The EVO 4 karts feature a unique double-tube protection system, which due to its “floating design” offers the ideal protection of the occupant from collision forces in all directions.
The EVO 4 is the only kart in the world to meet Germany’s tough TUV Product safety certification, with driver safety inherent in its design.

Like last year at Livingston, we CAN wear our own helmets (for that ease of hunting down your next overtake.....) There is also a pool table and arcade machine in an area from which you can view the track and still get timing information and noise / smells......

Click for a Panorama of the track also....

Mini Grand Prix Details

After a full safety briefing, all drivers will get the opportunity for a practice session before racing in 2 separate 12 lap heats. Starting positions are rotated through the sessions and points awarded dependant on your finishing position. The top drivers scoring the most points will then race in an 12 lap "A" final, and the remaining drivers racing in a 12 lap "B" final (all drivers will race in 2 heats and 1 final). The winner of the "A" final will receive a trophy

Event Format
  • Drivers register to race at reception.
  • Drivers receive National Karting Association approved briefing covering all safety procedures, kart control, racing tips and explanation of race format.
  • Practice session for each driver to initially allow familiarisation with karts and track layout
  • 2 Heat races per driver. Starting from different grid positions on each race and racing against different drivers, each heat is 12 laps long and points are then awarded based on finishing positions.
  • The race information system (featuring the latest computerised timing system available) displays pictures of the drivers currently racing, the race positions/lap times during the heats and the full points leaderboard.
  • The top drivers qualify for the 12 lap "A" final, with the remaining drivers racing in the 12 lap "B" final
  • The top 3 drivers climb the podium and the winner of the A final is awarded their trophy
  • Digital pictures of the winners and racers can be taken for distribution afterwards.
Variations for different Group Sizes

For groups of 10 - 17 drivers the group will race in 2 separate groups (which will be mixed after the first heat) and then in an A / B final

For groups of 18 - 24 drivers the group will race in 3 separate groups (again mixed after the first heat) and then in a A / B / C final

And did I mention that it'd be the turn of the westies to travel the shorter distance this time? Not to mention that it'd be on Kilted Gingers doorstep to make life easier...... sorry- all back to Marcs afterwards!:D

Hmm, Larbet does look good.....
I'm happy with either, I live dead in the middle so best let others choose whats convenient for them and I'll go with the majority.
