Doesn't allow any air in.

Sarah's right there ... you can buy Shoei visors with the pinlock system already in it ... comes with an insert which is a doddle to pop in.

And no wind getting thru either :)

Have to say that after riding around on my DAS wearing a Nitro lid with visor cracked open, I made a beeline for the Shoei's as soon as I passed my test, because I really rate the pinlock system.

Some arais come with the pinlock mountings too, my Astro R did. I'm not convinced they do anything better than the fog cities I have in my other visor tbh, other than the transferability. But they're both good products. Scorpion, on the other hand, have mistproof visors- that's the snowmobile legacy for you. I gather you can get heated visors to fit the scorpions too.

As did my Corsair RX7

I prefer the pinlock to the fogcity, precisly because you can remove it and ditch it for a new pinlock if it gets scratched etc etc.

Hmm OK I stand majorly corrected - sorry! I think I've minunderstood how the pinlock system works - my apologies!

How does it compare to one of those fog deflector mask thinggies ('tis what I've used in the past... eg: http://www.respro.com/racing.php - Respro Foggy Mask)

IMHO the foggy has been fantastic - if you get it a bit low in the helmet it can be hard to breath, and if you sneeze it's not very tasy  Has any one ever used both or had experience of both?

I use both, I've got a pinlock insert on my clear visor which stops the visor fogging and I've got a Foggy respro mask mounted on the chin piece on my lid so that the guard directs my breath away from my glasses and I dont fog those up either.

The foggy I find also keeps my face warmer on cold days to.
