Yeh happened to girl at work, i asked her about it and she was asked at the garrage if she saw the red light on the dash and a message saying the car needed oil, she said yes but though nothing about it and just let it go bang. Ouch the bill.

Or the Corriton Interchange! That's the only one I ever hear about on Radio Wales travel! (and I'm sad, I had to drive the M4 just to find it!)

And PS
Whilst you like flaming women with looking after cars, I have to post about my ex husband. Water warning light kept coming on in the car, every time I nagged him about it, he said it was an electrical fault which caused the light to come on.
I managed to borrow the car for work, but took it to the garage, where it was found that the head gasket had gone, but because he'd driven it so much (Warwick to Northampton every day for a month) it had warped so much that the bill was over a grand.

Funny that you say that, in our house Mr Lou does all the cooking, I'm useless at it. Have just been away for a week without Mr Lou, and my brother bought me lots of jars of sauces etc for Christmas, so that I wouldn't go hungry!!!
I'm usually mowing the lawns in the summer when he calls me in for dinner.:D
