Never really got on with American whiskey but maybe I've just not had a proper good one.

I always thought I didn't like rum until someone bought me a Brugal 1888. You're a rum fan aren't you?

I'm onto Erdinger Weissbier now. This is more like the usual cloudy wheat beer whereas the other one was clear and fizzy like a lager.

I am a rum fan. Although I only know of the captain's spiced morgan. I haven't tried any others since I was converted from cider

Never sure about rum unless it's with raisins in ice cream. I quite like a nice single malt to finish an evening but don't really go for spirits in general.

Busy but positive day at work today coupled with nice weather meant drinking and gardening.

Kraken and coke to start then an Irn-kraken to wind up. Deep sleeps abound I hope!

A taste from my youth, as most things, it doesn't taste like it used to. Irn Bru is another one that isn't as good.

Yeah was so disappointed when I had one a while back. It's red instead of the old reddish orange, twice as sweet and just basically a completely different drink.

Isle of Arran Red Squirrel. A wee bit sweet, a wee bit watery, far too fizzy. Not really offensive though. A decent bitter for the lager drinkers.

I've been trying lots of new things since this thread started. It's almost given a sense of purpose to the shame and despondency of my normal drinking

Onto my third irn bru can now, (had a BBQ this afternoon (as if that excuses everything)) no work tomorrow.

On a side note I've come to the conclusion (whilst gardening inebriated with a hand saw) that I DEFINITELY need a machete in my life!

dont buy anything made by Barr. they have stopped using sugar and now use sweeteners so nothing tastes the same. i had some limeade a while ago and had to pour it down the drain it was that shizz. sweeteners give you dry mouth so you end up drinking more and is the same tactics pubs used to use with free salted peanuts at the bar.

That stuff is ace! Not normally available in the UK other than through places like american soda IIRC or is it making an appearance in normal shops now too?

Currently on holiday in Turkey so it's Efes pilsner today. Back home, it's Adnams Broadside for me followed by almost any other Adnams brew.
