Did any plod turn up? If not I would try to avoid the highway furnitures contribution as that could be a couple of grands worth through insurance!

thanks for the words folks

forks seem just fine, must be the pics that make them look bent

plod were informed but not much they could do unless we could id the car, another did just cruise past the scene and not even bother stopping to see if we were ok...:rolleyes:

aching like fook today though, really need a shower too, gonna go experiment with some duct tape and a bin bag...

:D I remember doing something similar

When you go to the fracture clinic ask about a waterproof cover that you can use in the shower for your cast. I got a leaflet when they put my 2nd cast on saying where you could get them from online.

IIRC they dont cost much money and it'll work better than the bag and duct tape will.

Might be worth a purchase if your going to be in the cast for a while.

Bin bag and a bungee cord worked fine to keep mine dry when I smashed my wrist up
