If the answer to either is no, forget it.

Prepared to throw myself down the road, and prepared to throw SVNutter's bike down the road...does that count?

Damn - gonna have to book into wheelie school then :(

Find an empty industrial estate and practice... Thats what I intend to do. Save the 100 quid :-)

I did just this the day I bought my 1st VFR. Went to Kings Ride Business Park in Crowthorne. Took it to 4'000 rpm, eased of the gas and then pinned it. It's the only intentional wheelie I've ever done and I very nearly flipped it going onto a main road. Maybe my technique was flawed........

Welcome....you've joined the newest and best section.

We have our fortnightly meet next Tuesday at the Shire Horse pub in Maidenhead.

Hope to see you soon.

Wow didn't think there be a rideout that soon near. Unfortunantly i got to wait another 4 weeks for a broken thumb to fix till i can go for a spin. How regular are the ride outs near me?

As the weather improves i expect we'll try to get out as much as possible. I would think there will be something happening, on a lot of the weekends.

When TonyK is off work(he works shifts) we(+fury ginger one) also quite often go for a spin during the week.

Nice to meet you buddy and welcome to the group.

Rideout's depend largely on the weather as the TV lot seem to think that their bikes will dissolve if it rains. Rideouts thus far have been fairly regular - roughly once a week. We try to have a combination of smaller morning or afternoon runs combined with occational day long rides such as our last one to Brighton.

Shame you cant make tomorrow's ride but I hope that you will come and meet us on Tuesday at the Shire. You can come by car if your thumb is dodgy and there should be people there from 6pm onwards. Personally I usually arrive at 7.30 cause I commute from London.

Jon
