Re: Walking boots
I used to wear Scarpa SL Attacks back in the day , they literally did thousands of miles of hard abuse , I have since switched to Karrimor KSB boots as they do half sizes , very comfortable , no need to break them in but the downside is they have a waterproof cambrelle lining , you just have to make sure that your walking trousers don`t get wet as they will allow the cambrelle to suck the water out of your trousers and wick them into the boots . With Gaiters on there is no issue , or getting overtrousers on in time . Done about 250 miles in them and still as good as they day I bought them .

Re: Walking boots
I love my Meindl's!
So much so that my Chainsaw boots are Meindl's and I wear them more than my work boots. |
Re: Walking boots
Meindl (checks spelling) for anything energetic. Always had problems finding boots that are wide enough at the toe but don't let my heel move around. Just got a pair of DMs for everyday use, I'd forgotten how comfortable they were. My wife persuaded me to try Timberlands but don't consider them serious walking boots and the fit was lousy even tho I got them from the official store... nuff said. Won't touch Salomon again, far too narrow.
