Yeah, option 2 is well outside the rules of engagement and he'd be a bloody idiot to have done basically what Tony Martin was sent down for. I'm sure forensics and CCTV will let us know which.

I'd say there's a fair chance of any witness being very biased one way or the other toward the police force considering the area.

Tbh, even if he shot him leaving the premises, he was still armed and perceived to be a threat, still ain't got a problem with it.

As others as well as me have said, that's the path he chose, can't complain too much if one day, the path stops.

For the record, I also think Tony martin shouldn't have been sent down either, he never asked to be robbed, the pikeys just picked the wrong person to feck with, another path issue?

Life is precious, I really believe that, but I think my compassion to fellow human beings wanes when they commit crimes like this.

So I have zero sympathy tbh, don't care if it was a relative of mine either, don't go equipped for violent robbery, you have a chance of not getting shot, simple.

It is different. But it shows that the police can make mistakes and when the application of force is lethal then there is no justice.

I think we need more info. Was it scenario one or two. It's fair to say that if you don't go out committing armed robbery then your chances of being shot by a police officer are very much lower, but you can't say that it would never happen, because it has happened.

Phil, if he was leaving the premises, how can he be a risk to any particular person? How can there be immedite danger if he was opening the door with his back to the officer? Of course, we don't know and we need more info, but someone leaving surely is no danger to those inside. If this was the position, then the correct course woudl be to call for backup immediately, not to open fire.

Ed, he was still carrying a weapon in public, how do we know he wasnt gonna commit another violent crime straight after, carrying a blade in public is perceived as very serious these days, hence why getting caught with one normally ends up with a jail term.

So, still justified in those circumstances IMO, albeit I don't believe that happened.

Ed, I think you see too much good in people, scum like that have no good in them and serve no purpose in life other than to drain our resources and use my tax money to fund their lifestyle!

Not celebrating his death, I just can't see any issues with it, even if it was scenario 2.
