i dont get the whole brand war thing betwen users, not that i really am one, no ipad ,no tablet, no ipod christ i dont even have a mobile phone, but surely the brand shouldnt matter or be argued over
they are tools, tool to do certain jobs, i see what job i need to do i go get a tool capable of doing it, i dont care who makes it ,just that it will do what i need it to, dont even care how it does it as long as it gets done

In the end they are doing upgrades, if you were in the marked for a tablet thingy, would you buy the older model or the newer one that is a bit better, allegedly, if you don't want it, can't afford it, think it's crap, it's pretty simple, don't buy it, this applys to all things, here endeth the lesson.

No I dont either. I'll buy the device that I think is best suited for my needs. Or I will advise somebody else to do the same. At the end of day and I said this in the other thread, I'll do what I want with my money and if somebody else doesnt like it, then they can f*ck off.

Theres an awful lot of brand snobbery and patronising b*ll*x spouted from both camps, be it in this thread or in real life... Its just the same as the Curvey SV / Pointy SV or V Twin / IL4 discussions that go around and around in circles...

Have to agree with that.
Where I'm working atm I'm ridiculed for not having a Iphone (rather have a dirty cheap phone contract), not having a PS3 (I bought a xbox as I prefer the games)
They were on about the ipad 2 at work and that they are ordering them for launch and when I said I've got other things that I need to get before I consider another 'electronic toy', they thought I was on drugs.

Nah, the curvy/pointy and engine layout discussions have a certain lightheartedness to them, all this geek sh*t seems to bring out some right limpwristed handbag fights.
Probably because you actually NEED a motorbike and regardless of design they all get you places.

Except yamaha owners, they all have missing brain cells and smell of fart.

Personally I can't see why anyone would spend an amount of money which can buy you a bloody motorbike or a rifle or a lathe or a welder or summat else proper on some little electronic toy that will be out of fashion in 20 minutes?

For another thing I don't see the point of tablets, I have no need to facebook how big a sh*t I'm having while it's in progress...


All a big buyers guilt thing where people who've spent a load of money on this crap need to justify it, so they get handbags out when someone slags it off on a forum.

Personally I slag apple off as much as possible because I once had to remove their annoying bloatware from a machine and that sort of business ethic annoys me. If they really made the best devices they wouldn't need to do that as people would buy from them anyway.
Perhaps a bit of a bumpkin view on it but if you buy a lincoln welder you don't have to buy lincoln wire, or if you buy a suzuki you don't need to buy suzuki petrol.
