Re: Muslim Protests
Do people believe these riots are really about the american video or whatever it was, it's purely down to wanting, or started off wanting to get back at america in general for the way in which it pokes into everbody's business, then other countries have jumped on the band wagon, and now it's all about going out having a riot and a bit of fun, causing some destruction for kicks. They are causing more harm to their own countries than anybody else's.

Re: Muslim Protests
Has anyone seen the video which has caused so much offence?
Linky I can see why a deeply religious person may be insulted by it, but I can't believe that the majority of the rioters have a good enough grasp of English to have directly been insulted by it. They have been told that it exists and the content has no doubt been exaggerated by people with a political agenda. Its just an excuse to stir up anti western feeling, its got feck all to do with religion. |
Re: Muslim Protests

Re: Muslim Protests
Religions were created to control the unintelligent and the uneducated.
Unfortunately Islam thrives in countries where education is not a priority amongst the population, and this is why you get unintelligent and uneducated people who couldn't breathe for themselves if it wasn't a natural action committing these atrocious acts against others in the name of their sky-fairy. Civilised people don't burn property, riot and kill in the name of religion, only those who don't fully understand that their religion is meant to promote love and peace do these things. They are taught their religion by the few clever men who want to control, and will take what they say as the only way things should be. Islam does not actively promote violence, but a handful of its teachers will use a majority of their followers to inflict it on those who don't follow their interpretation of the book. You can't really blame the people rioting - they've been taught by their religious leaders that this is what they must do. |
