What is your target weight? 14st 9lbs ain't so bad.

Just seen this thread, and, well, I will stop myself from commenting on the diet aspect for reasons I wont go into.

Would you rather be with someone that wanted you, for who you are right now? Or would you rather try to change yourself, to the kind of person that you think they are looking for?

99% of relationships fail at some stage anyway (probably higher than that).

Personally, confidence in who you are right now, is far more appealing than a waist size. Having said that, you're right, I don't find LARGE people attractive. To me, anything that's size 16 or less is dependent on personality (yes I realise it makes me shallow to put a limit on size, but everyone does subconsciously anyway, and the limits certainly aren't to be strictly obeyed). I could never be with someone that had no personality just as much as I wouldn't be with someone I wasn't attracted (note: size isn't the only factor here) to.

Just a few thoughts outside the scope of the original intention ;)

I scared myself into dietary submission last night by looking at the BMI thingy... I'm 1 1/2 - 2st overweight...

I already knew it, but seeing it in graph form is somewhat shocking...

So you already knew it, but because you've seen it in a graph you're not on a diet? Did the graph make you less confident about yourself? Did it make you unhappier about yourself?

Welcome to modern world madness.

I get the feeling I won't be visiting this thread often

No, the graph highlighted that I've got to reign in my eating habits.

No, the graph didn't make me less confident about myself. That comes from not being happy with being flabby.

No, I'm already fairly unhappy with myself. The graph is just the slap in the face 'on paper' that the reminder in the mirror/on the scales isn't doing for me. You can look at yourself in the mirror and not be happy with what you see and only grumble about it. You can look at it 'on paper' and think '****, time to focus and do something about it.'

Don't ask me why, I don't know.. maybe it's all that "DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!" red they use in the over/underweight band. :P

I prefer seeing fat people to really skinny people. Tho I'd happily be 2st overweight if it was all muscle.

Can I be bloody nosey & ask:

1. Why? &

Target. Not to have to buy new leathers.

Put it this way, I need to loose at least 3 stone.

Good luck. I set myself a target of losing 2 stones and I was 14st 7lbs before starting. Would like to reach 12st, but am being realistic!

It's ok for other people to be overweight, just not me. :P Blokes seem to be nastier to me when I'm overweight than when I'm back to what I should be as well. 'Just ignore the ignorant bastids'... Yeah sure. Easy. No, actually it's not. I'm not thick skinned enough to be able to not care how people treat me.

There's a little bundle of muscle like sprung steel in here just bursting to get out... I used to be quite fit with an awesome little figure and I want that back.

I am:

Cutting down on how much I eat and eating healthier stuff (no more junk food except every now and then as a treat) The cutting down is part of reducing my appetite. I can eat far too much at the moment. :D

Start back at the gym after I've sorted my appetite out and lost a bit of weight. Going to the gym increases my appetite so going now will make me fitter, but not be enough to burn the fat off. Training will alternate between cardio/fat burning and weight training, but I'll speak to a personal trainer about that.

Anything else, Mr Nosey Nose McCabbage? :)
