Re: Sport Up A SV650s
I always wanted to fit that Sharkskinz fairing to my curvy. They do look ace. Odd but now i've swung towards naked bikes for the little details - I still like the curvy frame but dont like the tail end much - its a bit to buxom for me - so I would thin out a race one a bit maybe.
Mate if you like it do it - you are only young and it'll make your mates drool with envy (and me too if you do a good job) |
Re: Sport Up A SV650s
Best way to make it sporty is fit a good set of tyres. If it comes with Metzeler MEZ4's, scrap 'em and fit Z6's or something. Anything that will give you grip, basicly. MEZ4's ok in the dry, but horrendous when it gets a bit damp...
My sv is restricted, its got on a bellypan, R&G crash bungs (for the love of god, fit them before you drop the bike - it'l save you some dosh if you do!), remus end can (normal level, but oval - very cool) and repainted forks (nothing says unsporty than an SV with all the laquer peeling off the forks). You'll have a blast of a time restricted, its still good for +100 mph but really makes sense on tight and twisty country roads where no-one else on bigger bikes can use all their power anyway (so i get a fair chance of keeping up) Matt BTW rictus - wow! your SV looks so cool And Billy, - Your SV looks great with those front forks on. Is your rear wheel wider than normal too? I want a GSXR fork conversion :( (no, i dont really, i want a top box first...) (...dont worry, I'm leaving!) |
